Summer is here, and I don’t know about you, but I get that familiar feeling of wanting to break free from the daily grind. I'm sure it's just my body remembering wandering, playing
with friends, fishing, riding bikes, ghost in the graveyard in the evenings and running bases in the daytime, swinging on our friend's porch swing, exploring, climbing trees and cooling off at the library. Remember the carefree days of summer vacation? Those memories are what make summer so special.
As adults, it can be tough to recapture that magic. Work responsibilities and the hustle of daily life often leave little room for playfulness. But what if you could bring some of that joy back into your life? I’ve discovered that adding a little delight to my summer days helps me stay energized and productive.
One of the biggest challenges my readers and coaching clients face is that they’ve forgotten how to have fun. They’re so deep into “adulting” that playfulness feels like a distant memory. I’ve been there too, caught up in the “this has to be done now” mentality. But I’ve learned that when I feel that way, it’s a sign that I need a
dose of joy and play. It doesn't have to be a big production to add a bit of fun to your day.
