Weekly Simplicity Tips & hunkering down

Hi Friends,

We managed to get in one walk before the snowstorm came. We have been hunkered down since Friday. (Pix below)

I spent time clearing out my office closet. Lots of boxes (as if we don't get weekly boxes at our house), laser ink that can go for recycling, and various things I planned on using but never did. It feels good to be able to have space again in there.

We've also been baking, reading, planning and playing with my grandson.

If you don't have time to do all 10 tips, pick the one or two that are calling to you and put them in your calendar or to do list.

If you have already quit on a goal or new habit, start again.
Focus more on process goals (I will move 10 minutes every day, I will have a daily declutter time) vs a results goal (I will lose 10 lbs, I will declutter my whole house). Then keep moving towards your vision.
Be willing to look at your inner conversation if you keep saying you will do something, but then don't.
Where in your life can you use a little more self-discipline knitted with self-compassion?
Are you blaming anyone else for your lack of progress?
Make a daily intention (I will cultivate joy. I intend to be patient today.)
Don't berate yourself if you still have your holiday decorations up. Enjoy them and take small steps as you de-decorate.

Monthly Planning Call to plan February

We created our annual plan in January (if you need the planner, you can find it here). We decided to join together each month to plan for the following month, plus we can work through any obstacles on making progress on your intentions. I can help break your goals down. We can crowdsource ideas.

I know planning is one of those things we tend to procrastinate on, so here is a safe, relaxed container to look at your month and your stuff without judging yourself. We can tweak your plan and make it more fun. But, we won’t be beating ourselves up on what still needs to be done.

If you know planning is an important part of creating your life and want some encouragement to get it done, we would love to have you.

Each call is at 2 pm ET on the last Friday of each month.

You don’t have to join every call. Come when you can.

They will be recorded. If you can’t be there you can email me questions that I will answer on the call.
