Welcome to this week's tips
Hi Everyone,
I finally got to see my daughter after a couple weeks. They came over for BLT's with heirloom tomatoes and a family walk at the wetlands (top 2 photos are
hers).
I had a morning walk and meditation (see third picture). As I stared at the pond, the reflection of the trees made me feel like I was immersed in nature. A turtle head popped up delighting me. Fish jumped out of the water, spinning and falling back in with a splash. A red cardinal flew by multiple
times as I breathed.
I posted in our local town Facebook group thanking someone that had beautiful sunflowers in their front yard. I couldn't believe how many likes that got. I think people are longing for kindness in their social media groups.
This weekend I decluttered my plastic container area and the pots and pans. One box went in the basement for
kitchen overflow since we are usually only cooking for two now. And one box is going to charity.
If you don't have time to do all 7 tips, pick the one or two that are calling to you. Put them on your calendar or to do list.
A tip from the chef at my retreat - use olive oil on an avocado half to keep
it from browning. It actually works! You can also slice into cubes and freeze.
Clean out car cup holders by putting a sock over a travel cup, spraying it with cleaner and twisting it into the cup holder.
What is trying to get your attention?
Spray the grater with cooking spray before grating cheese.
Use a
skirt hanger to hold recipes and cookbooks by a cabinet doorknob.
Create a game or challenge for something that you are procrastinating on.
Forgive yourself when you mess up.
