Welcome to this week's tips
Hi Everyone,
I was able to get out to the wetlands for the first time since my calf injury mid-January. Boy, had I missed the nature.
Starts Monday - Next class is perfect for you if you can't seem to stick with
regular habits. We will not be doing a surface job - we will be digging into to find the real reasons your habits aren't sticking:
If you don't have time to do all 7 tips, pick the one or two that are calling to you. Put them on your calendar or to do list.
Shop with a list, don't browse.
Count to 10 to slow yourself down.
Next time
you think, "Someone should do something about that," understand that you are Someone.
Sit for 2 minutes before starting work.
Quit checking your phone at stop lights. Enjoy the quiet moment.
Make a list of healthy snacks and post it to the fridge.
Find something that is easy to improve - and do that.
What I wrote for you
We all like to think we will be thinner, richer, connecting with friends, have a great family and spiritual life and a beautiful home in the future. We want to be attaining goals. But, when it comes to taking actions to get there our favorite phrase
is, “I’ll do it tomorrow.”
The problem is tomorrow becomes today and you end up in the same place you were yesterday. We don’t like to think of what we have to do that will take us where we want to go. For most changes there is regular action needed.
I help the overwhelmed create saner, simpler lives.
I deliver…
Untamed possibility. Breathe easier simplicity. Hope. On the wings of understanding and encouragement. Step by step breaking down from “no way! “ to “why not?”
I am not a natural habits person. While my engineering brain husband has one right way to do everything, I am more “never do the same thing twice” kind of person. So much of the rigid, just do it advice regarding habits did not work for me. I needed a more flexible way to create my day with my habits and rhythms.
You may be
similar. Try to create a habit. Fail. Try to create a habit. Fail. So frustrating!
Trying again the way you have been, may not be the answer. It could be time to try a new way and get support.
“I am finding the “Habits and Rhythms” course being run by Beth Dargis of “A simpler, saner life” so helpful.”
