Welcome to this week's tips
Hi Everyone,

Various bills and unexpected expenses popped up this month. I have been stressed and worried. Then at church I was reminded I am not surrendering. I am fighting what is happening and that never works. I need to surrender, trust and take action.

One of the actions is to remind you all about my Change Your Relationship to Time class. This small group class goes deep into how thoughts about time may not be true and how those thoughts keep you stuck in a cycle of anxious urgency and zoned out distraction. We also talk a lot about how to keep focus.

I got out to the wetlands four times this week. One day we discovered lots of wildlife. You can see the turtles lining up on the log. (Pix by Brea Dargis)
Weekly Simplicity Tips
  1. How can you be light in a dark world?
  2. Decide what you want for the next 12 weeks.
  3. After summer, it's easy to forget about fun. Schedule in fun on your calendar.
  4. Do an eating meditation.
  5. Notice the expectations you have about your ability to do something that you have been procrastinating on. Break the task down until you are confident you can do it.
  6. Write down good moments you encounter on your to do list.
  7. Check out the fall TV schedule. Put in your calendar any you want to DVR. Decide only to watch a new show if one of your old shows has been canceled. Be intentional with your TV watching.
