Welcome to this week's tips
Hi Everyone,

For our 25th anniversary Jeff and I went up to Houghton Lake. Long hiking trail where we saw an abundance of pitcher plants. 2 1/2 hour kayaking trip near wildlife including a pair of deer coming to the river for a drink and a crane that landed next to us.

There was a beautiful wetland area we went to a few times to see nesting osprey (similar looking to bald eagles.) You can see them a little bit in the pix below. To see them really well we used binoculars.

Indoor swimming, beach walking, in room hot tub, fancy dinner (I had Hawaiian shrimp and pineapple, perfectly cooked zucchini and 4 small pieces of fried cheesecake with raspberry sauce.)

We stopped by a cute zoo on the way home. We could feed many of the animals carrots. Here I am going to feed the emu.

Weekly Simplicity Tips
  1. Clean out the linen closet
  2. Do you need to set up appointments for a will, trust or estate planning?
  3. Let go of single earrings or use them as push pins in bulletin boards.
  4. What home projects that you have been procrastinating on can you take a 15 min. bite out of?
  5. What do you really want to do this season? Put it on the calendar.
  6. Have a fix-it day to repair, mend or let go of things.
  7. Learn something new, perhaps local plants, birds or constellations.

10 Reasons You’re Going to Want This Class

1. “I just don’t have enough time,” will no longer be your mantra.

2. You’ll find rushing isn’t a necessity.

3. You will get through your to do’s with more focus. Taking action is good. Feeling scattered is not.

4. You will discover how to feel like you and what you do is enough.

5. To do lists are yours that won’t seize you up as soon as you look at them.

6. Find out how to plan instead of always putting out fires. Yet, let go of over-planning.

7. You will get clear on what is important to you. You’ll get in touch with your soul and see what is best for you and your family.

8. You will make friends that “get you.” I always love how supportive the classes are with one another. As someone recently said, “Now I know I am not alone.”

9. You will learn to soothe yourself with self-compassion.

10. You will play with the fear and ego that keeps you in panic mode.

I’ve learned so much throughout the years, most of all that what I think is the problem is usually not the problem. Time doesn’t have to be the problem.
