Welcome to this week's tips
Hi Everyone,

A special welcome to all the newcomers to the list. Remember if you miss a day decluttering, just start again the next time. Don't try to catch up. For those that haven't gotten the calendar yet:

Feel free to print or download the whole calendar or do that month by month.

If you want more help decluttering, you can join my most popular class the Declutter Group.

We've had a few winter walks this week. One trail had hung ornaments in the trees.

Weekly Simplicity Tips
1. Unsubscribe to some email lists you ended up on by purchasing holiday gifts.
2. Clean out your purse or wallet to start the year fresh.
3. Make doctor, dentist and self-care appointments for the next few months.
4. Do all holiday returns at once.
5. Write your thank you notes as a family.
6. Get clean sheets on the bed for a new year.
7. Write a little list of what you are grateful for from 2016 and what you are looking forward to in 2017.

What I wrote for you

Starts Jan 23, 2017

After doing a decluttering group for about 7 years now I have found that almost everyone wants to declutter. But, people rarely make progress. Mainly for these reasons:

  • They are overwhelmed by the huge project
  • They keep telling themselves they can’t do it
  • Excuses like no time or energy
  • Doing do much then crashing when you have chronic pain
  • Wanting to hold on to things, memories, eras
  • Not wanting to deal with emotions that come up with stuff
  • Not knowing where to start

Which of these are your main obstacles?

What can you do about your obstacle?
