Hi Everyone,

In between migraines I went to the church potluck (see the beautiful sunset below by Brea), took some walks, decorated paper bags for the Kid's Food Basket where they send food home with needy kids, and saw some friends in the play Into the Woods.

I also started working with a new accountability client. Many people work better with accountability so if you are struggling to start something, completing something or getting a new habit going, I'd love to help you out.

Weekly Simplicity Tips
  1. See what is right with your spouse or another important relationship this week.
  2. Write specific directions on paper of what it means to clean the bathroom or kitchen in a cabinet.
  3. Do chores at the same time as a family, with music.
  4. Use the app Tiny Scanner to scan receipts needed for taxes.
  5. Prioritize your day before getting online.
  6. Use less ink when you print by changing text from black to grey.
  7. Practice solitude so you know that alone doesn't have to mean lonely.

How many times have you said,

“OK now I am going to create this habit.”

“I am going to finish this project.”

” I am going to exercise 3 times a week.”

“I am going to get dishes done every night.”

“I am going to finally finish this organizing project.”

“I am going to finally finish this craft project.”

2 days later you have already quit.

We all like to think that the promises we make to ourselves hold as much weight as promises made to others. That is what we’ve been told. Good, disciplined people don’t need anyone. When they say they are going to do something that do it. Even if they say it to themselves.

But, the vast majority of people I see accomplish so much more when they are held accountable by someone else. It’s just human nature.

I have my own accountability partner. We just in weekly to make sure we are on track with personal and business projects and habits. When a week goes by and I haven’t done any work on my ebook, she will ask me about it.

Trying to change on our own is usually less successful and frankly it makes it harder than it has to be.
