Welcome to this week's tips
Hi Everyone,

We had a couple cooler days this week so I got in a couple hour long walks. My daughter and I have been amusing ourselves with the cakewrecks.com site. Somehow we managed to make mini cherry pies that tasted and looked pretty good. Surprised ourselves.

The pictures below are of a shorter walk Brea and I had on a hotter day. We saw the heron and the swans stare each other down until the swans moved away. (Pix by Brea Dargis)

Anything you want to complete before summer is over? Pleasant Projects course starts next week Monday.

Weekly Simplicity Tips
  1. Tip from a reader: take advantage of backpack guarantees. Contact the maker if you have problems, bad zippers...
  2. Make a pre-cooked meal before you leave for vacation so you don't have to cook when you get home.
  3. If you don't have time to exercise, try one of the 7 minute workout apps. (Search 7 minute workout.)
  4. Increase your sleep gradually if you haven't been getting enough.
  5. Make a list of simple meals you can put together from pantry items. Put it on your fridge for when you want to grab fast food.
  6. Pick a day to do laundry or do a load a day if you have a bigger family.
  7. Do you want to reach out to a friend?
