Welcome to this week's tips
Hi Everyone,

This Monday morning edition brought to you by last night's migraine :) I've had lots of those this week with the high heat and humidity. I was able to cool off Saturday at a cast pool party and loved catching up with everyone from the Mikado. Brea and I got in a couple early morning walks during the week before it got too hot (pix by Brea below - can you see the two white butterflies in the flowers?).

I also just opened registration to my Pleasant Projects course for those of you tired of telling yourself, "I work better under pressure." Projects don't have to be full of pressure - let's try a different way.

Weekly Simplicity Tips
  1. Always think love first when entering political discussion - listen and connect.
  2. Think of the long-term results of a goal you want, rather than short-term wants if you have become unmotivated.
  3. Tweak your evening routine to promote better sleep (ie shut off time for technology, relaxing instead of trying to fall directly into sleep.)
  4. Check in with someone regularly on the progress of your goals. Don't have a person you trust? I'd be happy to be that accountability partner.
  5. If you act perfectionistic, you will defend against any criticism in order to be right, you won't want to see any of your faults and this stunts growth.
  6. When you notice yourself getting upset with someone - see if you had unrealistic expectations for them or needs you didn't communicate to them.
  7. Worry is not action - it doesn't make things safer, it only seems that way.

We start August 15 at 8pm ET. If you have projects that you procrastinate on you can get more done on your project (s) in 5 weeks then you have in months. I’ll help you make them more fun and less like work. You can use the method on projects delegated to you and projects you decide to do.

You’ll get:

  • 5 online classes (with transcripts in case you can’t make the class)
  • Facebook group for accountability
  • A printable project planner

I want you to be able to take action on your projects in the most pleasant way possible.

I love helping people break down their projects and make them feel less scary.
