Welcome to this week's tips
Hi Everyone,

We had a 3-day snowstorm this week. Didn't do much driving (though my husband drove me to play practice in the Jeep Saturday.) My backyard is below. You can see the snow still coming down.

Weekly Simplicity Tips
  1. Accept compliments with a thank you. Don't insult other people's judgement by saying things like, "Oh, this old thing."
  2. Accept help when offered.
  3. Clear off someone's car of snow, buy someone's dinner or do another act of kindness.
  4. Tell or write someone an "I love you."
  5. Save all your loose change in a jar and bring to your savings account when full.
  6. Take a lap around the store before you start shopping, for extra steps.
  7. Like your community's Facebook page to find out about upcoming events (many free!)

Simplify Your Money Systems Class

Re: New Simplify Your Money Systems Class – Limited Room – Starts March 7

When I first got married, I had just finished college. We were living in a little apartment in a scary part of town. We subsisted on ramen noodles, potatoes and tuna it seemed like. All our furniture was hand-me-down. I was still working at a fast food place while looking for work.

I had to be extremely careful with money and I was.

But, when I got better paying work and my husband got better paying work, we became more lax. We knew ‘about’ how much was in our accounts.

I didn’t really have a plan. I was just hoping we had enough in the account when bills were due.
