Welcome to this week's issue of Weekly Simplicity Tips.

The weather finally turned spring-like so we were able to go on three motorcycle rides through the country this week. The last one we got a bit rained on.

Two walks as well, but no pictures. The camera place says it will be at least 14 days before they get the parts.

My Grandpa turns 93 today. Happy birthday, Grandpa!

Just a note: April's Declutter Group is now enrolling. They already are playing with some pre-challenges.

Warmly, Beth

Weekly Tips

  1. What are your goals? Do you include any in your daily planning?
  2. If you pack a lunch, use re-usable containers. My husband likes the Rubbermaid Lunch Blox.
  3. Scan or photograph kid's drawings and certificates, it you want to declutter some.
  4. Do laundry more than once a week if it tends to overwhelm you. The more often you do laundry, the smaller the piles.
  5. Schedule time to go through yesterday's email to gather the todo's and empty as much as possible. I put my to do emails in an take action email folder only after I write them down in my list. If it's a quick answer - do it now.
  6. If you are resisting a task, check to see if there is fear behind it or if you need more clarity to the task.
  7. Visit the zoo or a local petting zoo/farm.

Declutter Group

I asked the last class what they wanted you to know about the Declutter Group and here are some of the comments:

- I got more decluttering done during this class than any time in the past 10 years!

- I am still slowly decluttering, although I haven't done any decluttering yet today. But I've never stayed with it this well before.

- The 5 minute commitment works. It's reassuring to see others are struggling with it too as there's some shame/embarrassment when you've always got clutter. I think it's a good supportive environment too that encourages you to continue.

- I thought the manual was excellent.

I've found people that have spent years trying to declutter only to quit, make wonderful progress in this group setting.
